WaBu app for iPhone and iPad

WaBu is a mobile app that increases the frequency of meaningful social interactions through walking. We create inclusive, active, and interactive communities around college students.

Simply add other people in your area - those are verified by WaBu to be university students through our double authentication process. Then, type in origin, destination, at what time, and with whom youd like to walk. You can opt to send the walk request to all your friends, or specific groups of friends that you created or were added to.

Each friend will appear as a blue droplet on the map. Although this droplet symbolizes a friend, it remains private/anonymous and you cant know who specifically the droplet is. You can create a group and add users from your friend list. Furthermore, you can look up other groups under the same Group menu tab and apply, where the admin will accept or decline your request.

When you receive a walk request, simply tap on the notification and a chat will open. Talk to your friend to meet up and walk!
